Branding
Project
moth
Introduction:
For this project me and my team had to create a branding for our client – Dana, a rock-academy student who is an experimental producer and songwriter. We had to develop a brand that resonated with her music style and attract the target audience.
Logo design:
We focused on developing a logo first and decided that in order to present as many different options as possible to our client, all of us would work on designs for the logo and present to the client one logo variant from each of us. I worked on creating many different logo design experimenting with different fonts and colors that would match Dana’s style:

Corenspordation:
At the beginning, I took the initiative to create a place for communication with Dana- made a WhatsApp group where my team and I can show the client our process. Before making the group, to keep the communication between us going, I was sending her emails.
Mood board:
I created one version of the mood boards for Dana, using Pinterest I tried to incomperate her personal style- CyberPunk and the edgy aesthetic she wants her brand to give.

Fonts:
I chose the fonts for Dana’s website. I tried to find fonts that would suit her aesthetic and her vision- she wanted more game-like fonts.
Brand Identity:
Using my logo, that we decided to show to Dana, I created a brand identity with color palette and mockups.

I also cooperated for the creating of Brand Identity for the logo that me and my teammate made together.
Documentation:
After that, we focused on making a Content Strategy for Dana. We separated the work between the five of us. My job was to make the marketing plan as a part of the content strategy, creating user-personas and part of the branding guidelines.
User-Persona:
As part of my research, I conducted an interview with a game development student. This approach was recommended by our teacher, who advised that game developers could be a key segment of Dana’s target audience. Since her music style aligns with dark, experimental, and cyberpunk aesthetic which is often used in horror games as well, understanding the preferences of game developers was essential. Based on the conducted interview I created a user-persona- a representation to the ideal listener to Dana’s music.

Marketing plan:
Using the persona and the interview, I developed a marketing plan that focused on identifying Dana’s target audience and developing strategies to effectively promote her brand. I researched and proposed relevant events such as gaming conventions, virtual concerts, and horror game festivals where Dana could showcase her music. Additionally, I explored potential partnerships with game developers, content creators, and influencers who could help expand her reach. I also suggested PR opportunities, including collaborations with horror-themed YouTubers and streamers, as well as media coverage in gaming and horror-related publications
Reflection:
Working on this branding project for Dana was a valuable learning experience that allowed me to develop both my creative and strategic skills. Throughout the project, I faced challenges such as working with different aesthetic from mine, but the process thought me of adaptability to new and unknown things. For the future, I will not be afraid to experiment and I would keep the good communication with both my teammates and client because it is crucial to making a good project.
