Introduction:
For my portfolio, I applied Personal Leadership by taking the initiative to learn new skills connected with how to implement an animation in my website.
What did I do:
I wanted to have an animation of flying moth in my portfolio, so I started by searching for 3D model that I can use. I researched in many websites but I couldn’t find anything that was free and matched my idea. After asking my teachers for advice, one of them suggested me to create a GIF image of a moth and then to implement it in the website. I followed this advice and found a 3D model of a moth that I like from Sketchfab website. I took several screenshots of the moth in different positions and then made the images into a GIF using Ezgif. I then researched how to implement GIF img in my code by watching many YouTube tutorial of gif image implementations in a code. However, I hade a few difficulties while trying to animate it so I asked for help one of my teachers.
How did it go:
Even though, I had a few issues while creating the animation in my portfolio, overall the process went well. I am very satisfied with the finished product and with the fact that I managed to overcome the difficulties I experienced along the way.
What I learned:
I learned how to problem-solve more effectively, by asking for advice and feedback from my teacher. Their notes helped me improve my design and deliver an aesthetically pleasing and working animation. I also learned a different way to use animation in a code in the form of GIF, which was something that I previously didn’t know. Most importantly, I gained many new skills in JavaScript which was very valuable experience for me since I am interested in working with JavaScript.
Reflection:
I want to keep learning new skills in JavaScript, my goal is to have advanced range of skills there so I would keep watching tutorials and practice my knowledge. I am also very interested in making 3D animation and want to explore different ways of doing them. I think developing this skills will open me many opportunities in my career path.

Introduction:
I applied Personal Leadership by attending the “We are playgrounds” event. I wanted to visit this event so I can see something new and different and explore creative work as a part of my personal development. I also love going to all kind of art events so I saw this as a perfect chance to do that.
What did I do:
During the event, I saw many different creative projects presented by different artists. What stood to me most were the sculptures – I have always been interested in sculpting and wanted to learn how to do it. Previously, I have worked with clay and have tried to learn at home how to make simple sculptures but I never got the opportunity before to see from that close the work of professional sculptors. At the event I event participated in one of the sculpturing workshops, which gave me a chance to try out working with professional materials and to talk with an artist from this field.
How did it go:
The experience was very inspiring and gave me a motivation to keep trying out new things, especially the workshop.
What I learned:
I learned to try out new things, even if they are out of my comfort zone and that it help you improve and develop new skills.
Reflection:
I am planning to visit more art-connected events in the future and for the next time to take part in even more workshops, so I can enrich my knowledge.
Introduction:
I focused on demonstrating Personal Leadership by taking the initiative to research and learn new skills and in seeking feedback from my work.
What did I do:
For this project, I focused on demonstrating personal leadership by taking the initiative to research new skills and actively seek feedback on my work. One of my goals was to incorporate 3D animations into my portfolio website, as I am deeply interested in this area of design. To achieve this, I took the lead in researching how to create 3D models and animations by exploring various tutorials and websites. The biggest inspo I took from Awwwards where they have a lot of examples of websites withb aimation elements in them. I have a bit of previous experience in Blender and Cinema 4D, so this project was a good opportunity to me to improve and revise my skills there. Since I am also planning on studying Game design- for which you need to know how to make animations, I believe that improving my skills is very helpful for that field.Additionaly, I was getting a feedback from my portfolio prototype. I asked my teachers for advice for my design and the layout so I can improve it based on their notes.
How did it go:
My personal research on 3D animations went well and I was able to gain an understanding of the effects I wanted to implement. While I still have a lot of things to learn, now I feel more confident to use it in my project. Animations are something I want to keep working with in the future- both for my personal and career path
What I learned:
I learned that taking initiative to learn is a key to growth and thanks to that I learned many new skills that I am going to use in the future and I would definitely will keep exploring the subject because that is something that I am very interested in.It is also very important to get a feedback at every stage of the design process and that it is not enough to ask for a checkpoint just once when the product is completely done. Getting constant feedback ensures that my work is always improving
Reflection:
For the future, I would try to seek more feedback, since I feel like I didn’t get enough, both from my teachers and my classmates. I would also keep learning how to make animation in my free time since strengthening these skills aligns with my future goals to work as a game designer.

Introduction:
I attended the it festival on my campus. For me it was very interesting to see what it has to offer and I saw it as chance to explore new learning opportunities.
What did I do:
I watched a magic show, played different games like a real-life version of Candy Crush and attended review of the top three student-made games. It was interesting to see how students managed to create functioning games within such a short development period.
How did it go:
To be honest, I wasn’t fully satisfied with the overall experience of the festival. I had expected there to be more workshops and a wider variety of activities to see and learn from. I was hoping for more content that would allow me to engage on a deeper level and learn new skills. But I still liked how interactive the how festival was and I was very impressed from the game-dev students who managed to create fully functional games for such short period of time.
What I learned:
Despite my expectations not being fully met, the experience reminded me of the importance of taking initiative and staying open to new learning opportunities. Seeing the work of the other students helped me realize how much can be achieved in a short time if a person is dedicated.
Reflection:
This experience taught me that not every event will meet my expectations, but that doesn’t mean it lacks value. I am happy that I went because If I didn’t I would never now if I would like it or not.
Introduction:
I attended a Three.js workshop where I learned the basics of creating a 3D animation.
What did I do:
Firstly, the teacher introduced us to some of the key Three.js components like the camera, lighting and subject and explained how each how each function in Three.js. Then, we followed a step-by-step tutorial to create a simple animation of a rotating cube. I followed along with his tutorial and managed to successfully create my own rotating cube. Afterward experimented with it by adjusting the speed of rotation and changing the lighting. I also applied different colors to the sides of the cube to customize it.
How did it go:
The workshop was very engaging and I was able to follow the tutorial. I am happy I attended it because I am very interested in learning how to do animations.
Reflection:
I learned the basic structure of Three.js, how to set up a scene and how to animate object within it. Through the workshop I became interested in learning more about Three.js and how to work with it. I even decided that I am going to use it in Project X as a challenge to myself and a way to learn a new skill.
Introduction:
Through this semester, I tried to focus on personal growth, both academically and creatively. That’s the reason why I always tried to get a feedback on my work so I would know where I need improvement.
What did I do:
One of the ways to grow was by regularly asking for feedback on my work. Whether I was designing layouts, making animations, or conducting some kind of research, I always made sure to present my progress to my teachers to hear what can be improved. For example, when I was developing the layout for the learning outcome page, I went through multiple versions based on feedback, even when the feedback was negative and not as I expected. Instead of getting discouraged, I used each feedback as a learning opportunity.
How did it go:
Looking back on the Orientation phase, I can see clear growth in my abilities and confidence. I’ve also learned how to work more effectively both independently and in a team.
What I learned:
This Semester helped me understand how important it is to always search a way to improve. I learned that being proactive- asking for feedback, seeking for help when if needed and not being afraid to redo my work leads to better results.
Reflection:
I’m proud of the progress I’ve made so far. For the future, I want to continue growing—both academically and personally. I want to keep developing my design and coding skills and become better version of myself.

Introduction:
Throughout this semester, one of the most valuable skills I’ve developed is effective communication within a team.
What did I do:
In my recent group projects—Branding, UX, and Development—I made a conscious effort to maintain clear, consistent communication. For the Branding project, I took additional initiative by reaching out to our client via email. The clear communication was especially important during times when I couldn’t be physically present. Even when working remotely, I stayed in close contact with my teammates through social media, so I can still do my work and to ensure I don’t miss any tasks.
How did it go:
The good communication was helpful in all of my projects this Semester – me and my team managed to stay organized and divide responsibilities efficiently.
What I learned:
I’ve learned that good communication is about knowing when to take initiative, to be organized and to talk with your teammates when you don’t agree with something or run into a problem.
Reflection:
Good communication is crucial to making a good project and I will continue to apply it in my future team-work.

Introduction:
For Project X, I wanted to develop something that aligns with my personal interests. Since I love art and I thought of doing something art-connected. So the biggest inspiration for my Art gallery was the visit I had on two museums in Amsterdam- The Rijksmuseum and the Rembrandt House Museum.
What did I do:
I got inspired by the interior design in Rijksmuseum- seeing how the painting were presented and the overall asthethic of the place so I decided to make similar layout in my own gallery.
At the Rembrandt, what stood up the most for me was that for every painting there was a background story that explained the meaning behind the art. This made me see how storytelling can deepen the connection between the art piece and the viewer. I wanted to do this in my own project so I decided that the gallery would display a box with description of the paintings so the viewer can connect on a deeper level with the art.
Reflection:
This experience taught me the value of using real-world inspiration. By visiting museums in person, I was able to gather insights that directly impacted the way I shapmy digital gallery. It helped me realize how important it is to bring elements from the physical world into digital experiences, that way the project will feel more realistic. Moving forward, I want to continue developing as a designer who connects personal passion with my professional work, and who develops projects based on real inspiration.

Introduction:
One of the biggest decisions I made during this project was choosing to work with Three.js. I wanted to challenge myself and make something new. After attending a workshop on Three.js, I was inspired to try working with it.
What did I do:
After deciding to develop a virtual gallery using Three.js, I didn’t jump directly into building. Instead, I dedicated time on research and learning. I read some of the documentation and followed multiple tutorials online to understand the fundamentals — from setting up a Three.js scene to experimenting with different lighting types, materials, cameras, and object placements. This preparation gave me a solid foundation before diving into the actual development of the gallery. Throughout the build process, I explored and applied new techniques and continued learning.
How did it go:
The development process was challenging at times. As someone who was completely new to Three.js, I encountered numerous errors and bugs. It was often frustrating to run into problems I didn’t immediately know how to solve, but despite that , I had a lot of fun working with Three.js and bringing my vision to life.
What I learnt:
By choosing to step out of my comfort zone and work with an unfamiliar tool, I not only gained hands-on skills in Three.js but also learned how to teach myself complex technical concepts.
Reflection:
Looking back, I’m proud of the decision I made to take on this challeng.I’m happy with what I built, and even more motivated to continue growing in this direction. I see great potential in working with 3D web technologies, and this project helped me realize that this could be more than a personal interest — it might even become a professional path I pursue in the future.
At the beginning of this semester, I wasn’t entirely sure what kind of professional I want to become. I knew I was interested in design, but I didn’t have a specific focus in mind. That’s why I am extremely grateful for the variety of experiences I had during this semester.
One of the most valuable part of this semester was being able to try different types of media design. For example, in the Branding project, I had the chance to make a whole brand identity Although I learned new skills during the process, I discovered that branding is definitely not for me – I didn’t like creating logos, choosing fonts and color palette for a brand and I found it quite boring to make content strategy for a client. On the other hand, during the development of Project X I had the opportunity to work in three.js to create an interactive gallery involving animations. I found at that I really enjoyed the whole process. This project helped me realise that I am genially interested in combining front-end development with creative technology like 3D and animations.
I am still in the process of figuring out my ideal professional path. What I do know is that I want to continue exploring different areas of digital design. That is the reason why I chose to study front-end for the 3rd semester to see if I would like this field. I believe that by trying as many things as possible, I’ll be able to make a better decision about where I fit best.
I want to become a professional who is adaptable, and not afraid to explore new directions. I also strongly believe that a real good professional is not good in only one thing- but has a broader set of skills. I’ve also learned that leadership isn’t just about knowing everything from the start—it’s about recognizing what does and doesn’t work for you, and shaping your path based on experience.
